Things pong does

Connected apps

GitHub, Slack, Notion, LinkedIn, Linear and Google Drive, Docs and Sheets, on your own accounts.

Connect the tools you work in and pong can read and act in them on your behalf: your repos, your channels, your notes. Each connection is your own account, approved on that app's own page.

AppTypical asks
GitHub"any PRs waiting on me?", "open an issue for this bug", commits and pull requests from chat
Slack"what did i miss in #launch?", "post the update in #team"
Notion"add this to my ideas page", "find the doc about the offsite"
LinkedInProfile lookups and help with outreach
Linear"what's assigned to me this cycle?"
Google Drive, Docs, Sheets"find the budget sheet", "add a row for october"

GitHub, Slack, Notion and LinkedIn have cards on the dashboard's connected apps page. For any of them, you can also just text pong ("connect my notion") and it sends a one-tap link like trypong.app/c/…. Email, calendar and contacts are a separate single connection, covered in Email and calendar.

Connecting from the chat.

How it behaves#

  • Reading and low-stakes actions just happen. Anything that reaches someone else or is hard to undo (a Slack post, an issue on a shared repo) is shown to you first.
  • "Not connected" and "nothing found" are different answers, and pong never confuses them. If an app isn't connected, it says so and sends the link.
  • pong never invents an event, file or message. Empty results stay empty.
  • Code that pong writes lives on your computer. Changes reach GitHub as commits and pull requests through the GitHub connection.
pong never sees your password for a connected app. You approve access on the app's own page, and you can revoke it there or ask pong.
