Catalog search across stores, your size checked, every good option ranked, and a checkout review with the real total.

Ask for a thing and pong comes back with real products from real stores: who sells it, the price, a picture and a link. Pick one and pong builds the checkout on that store, with shipping and tax, so the total you see is the total you'd pay.

How pong searches#

The catalog first
pong searches a retail catalog chosen for your country (from your phone number) and the kind of thing you want. One of those catalogs is Shopify's, which covers products from every Shopify store at once, with live prices and pictures. It runs several searches at once (your words, the plain category, the leading models for it), keeps one listing per model, puts them in order by how well each matches what you described, and checks your size on each product before it lists it.

The browser alongside it
At the same time, a second worker shops the store you named, else Amazon, with the same brief: in stock in your size, the price, and delivery to you. pong ranks everything together. Catalog products can be bought right in the chat, so on a close call they go first, and the same item from two sellers shows once, at the better total.

Described, not named
If you describe what you want instead of naming a brand, pong looks for the specialist and independent makers in that market, not just the biggest stores.

Sizes and variants#

Clothes and shoes need a size. If you didn't name one, pong asks once before listing anything. It checks your size on each product, and doesn't count a UK or EU size as yours, and when a product splits into groups you didn't pick (men's or women's, say), it asks which instead of listing both.

The checkout review#

When you pick a product, pong builds the review on the seller's own store: the item, the shipping method, the tax and the total. It fills in your name, email and phone, and uses the address you gave it. Nothing is charged at this step. In countries without a catalog, the browser does the whole search.

Paying for you

With Pong Cash (coming soon), pong can pay that total at the store's checkout after you say yes. Until then you get the checkout link with everything filled in.
