Pong Cashsoon

Pong Cash is a balance in your pong that it can spend for you, always with your yes. It pays at a store's own checkout the way a card would, moves money between friends' pongs, and turns "I'll pay you back" into one text.

How it works#

1. 1

   Add money

   pong sends you a link to add Pong Cash by card. Payments are processed by Stripe; pong never sees your card number.

2. 2

   pong gets to the total

   Shopping, a booking, tickets: pong does the work and stops at the store's final review with the real total.

3. 3

   You say yes

   pong asks once, with the exact amount and the store. Nothing is charged without that yes.

4. 4

   pong pays and confirms

   It fills the payment details at the store's checkout, submits once, and reads the store's confirmation. Your balance changes only when the store accepts the charge. You get the order number and a receipt card.

Pay anywhere online#

Pong Cash pays like a card on the store's own checkout page, so it works on almost any site, not just partners. The card details are filled in by reference: pong never sees the digits, and the live view on your dashboard is hidden while it's paying. If your balance is short, pong sends a top-up link and finishes once you've added money.

Pong to pong#

Send Pong Cash to anyone in your crew by text: "send leo $15". Naming the person and the amount is the yes. Money you receive works exactly like money you added.

Split the bill#

Drop a photo of the receipt in the group and say who's in. When you say "I paid, split it", each friend's pong gets a request for their share. Each friend approves their own payment. Nobody is ever charged from someone else's message.

Book for the whole group#

For a group plan, friends' pongs can send you their share first, and then your pong books with everyone's money in one go. The cabin, the concert tickets, the dinner deposit: one person's pong does the booking, and nobody has to chase anyone.

Receipts#

Every send, receive and purchase comes with a receipt card in iMessage and WhatsApp: what happened, how much, who or where, when, and what's left.

The wallet page#

On accounts with Pong Cash, wallet on the dashboard shows your balance, recent activity and the full history: money added, sent, received and store purchases with their status.

Good to know#

• Pong Cash is in Canadian dollars. A store that charges in another currency shows that total as it is.
• It's a prepaid balance for spending through pong. It isn't a bank account and doesn't cash out.
• A routine or a mail-triggered turn never pays. Paying always comes from a yes in a conversation.
• A declined payment is reported plainly. pong doesn't retry the same card details.
• A payment page can't be taken over from the live view.
